Strata-G is seeking an experienced Nuclear Safety Analyst with the following:

Summary:

  • Nuclear Safety Analyst needed for part to fulltime support in setting up and performing radiation shielding calculations, bulk shielding parametric studies of material properties and dimensions, and safety basis analysis reports. Must be expert in the use of MCNP, SCALE and similar nuclear safety analysis software. Must be able to train others on calculations setup and performance of potential complex shielding designs.

Requirements:

  • •B.S. degree in nuclear engineering preferred with 2- 4 years of relevant experience. Other engineering degrees are welcome with requisite experience.
  • •Be organized, detail-oriented and sensitized to a nuclear safety culture.
  • •Demonstrated record of customer-oriented and collaborative work experience.
  • •This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L clearance.
  • •MS or PhD degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • •Experience in engineering or safety analysis at a DOE or utility nuclear facility.
  • •Previously, or currently qualified to perform USQ evaluations (or similar process for nuclear power plants).
  • •Experience at a commercial, research, or naval reactor preferred.

Additional Information:

Position is mostly remote with occasional client site visits.
