Strata-G is seeking an experienced Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with the following:
Summary:
The civil/structural engineering support personnel will be assigned tasks by the Engineering Manager/Lead and shall include, but not limited to, the following:
• C-337 Infrastructure project support.
- Enlarge door opening to accept process equipment.
- Evaluate floor condition and load capacity for placement of equipment.
- Design structural supports for electrical and mechanical equipment/piping.
• C-333 Material Staging Area project support.
- Design lifting fixtures for process equipment and waste containers.
- Perform structural inspections of MSA/process building equipment such as cranes, ladders, pipe supports, platforms.
- Evaluate floor condition and load capacity for placement of equipment.
• Perform design reviews for the On Site Waste Disposal Facility (OSWDF) and Centralized Waste Water Treatment (CWWT) Facility designs.
• Support utility isolations, airgap activities and utility optimization work in civil/structural area.
• Provide design input/output for civil/structural portions of design modifications, including instructions, evaluations, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Procurement support for projects, including estimates, Bills of Material.
• Use structural analysis software, such as STAAD.Pro, to perform structural analysis, calculations, evaluation and design.
• Develop lifting plans using plant equipment (cranes) for safely lifting items; design lifting fixtures/devices.
• Perform inspections of building structures and pedestrian bridges, including foundation, floors, superstructure, roofs, connections, etc., and provide structural evaluation of condition.
• Evaluate surface drainage flow, site grades and survey data, need for culverts, condition of ditches and outfall structures, road repairs, site improvements.
• Evaluate the safety of structures prior to and during demolition.
• Review work instructions, procedures and processes.
