Strata-G is seeking an experienced R&D Electromechanical Technologist with the following:


The main duties/tasks include, but are not limited to:

Setup (machine projectiles, assemble parts, mount targets, machine and assemble other required hardware such as heavy steel plates) and cleaning (scrub/swab barrels, vacuum tanks) of the major gun components. In addition, other supporting roles will include maintaining a clean facility, working with work orders for repairs, ordering supplies, recycling used materials, and properly disposing of waste products.


  • Mechanical skills
  • Experience operating hand tools
  • Ability to lift >35 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
  • Ability to work in a diverse work environment
  • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes drug screening, and inclusion in random drug testing program
  • Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values


  • Previous experience on DOE sites and programs,
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings (blueprints) and experiment plans
  • Ability to perform machining of parts using manual (non-CNC) tooling
  • Experience operating pneumatic hand tools
  • Work experience with cranes and lifting fixtures
  • Experience operating forklifts
