Summary:
The Engineering Job Family evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Performs assignments, which have clear and specific objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables for an engineering discipline.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs engineering calculations, prepares specifications, performs analyses, performs testing, issues reports and maintains related data.
Maintains liaison with design and drafting groups.
Prepares, reviews and approves drawings as required.
Advises the Supervising Discipline Engineer about status of assignment( s) with respect to schedule, budgets, delays and adverse problems.
Ensures quality, quantity and completeness of the assigned engineering tasks.
Plans and schedules engineering efforts associated with assigned project.
Maintains timely and accurate oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activities.
Keeps proper engineering files and records.
Develops understanding of industry codes and standards.
Understands and uses computer software and applications associated with engineering assignments.
Continually upgrades technical knowledge and capabilities and pursues additional coursework and training.
Complies with company's safety awareness program, office and/or field safety policies.
Develops an understanding of the role of each functional area within the company.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Technical knowledge of engineering systems, engineering calculations, applications of engineering methods and construction methods and materials, and application of computer aided engineering (CAE)/computer aided design (CAD) tools to engineering problems.
Knowledge of project controls within discipline.
Good knowledge of major industry or regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to the particular engineering discipline.

Requirements:
Engineer II
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or the sciences from a four -year accredited college or university.
Experience: 2+ years of experience required. FE (EIT) certificate
preferred.

a specific discipline.
Intermediate level of understanding of general engineering principles within a specific discipline.

Education: Bachelor of Science in an appropriate engineering discipline or the sciences from a four -year accredited college or university.
Experience: 7+ years of experience required. Professional Engineer License preferred.
Under general direction, completes engineering assignments of moderate to advanced complexity.
Has an advanced level of understanding within a specific discipline.
Fully understands and assists with the preparation of project scope within a specific discipline.
Fully understands business development concepts and methods and provides support to proposals.
Fully understands codes, permits and company cornerstone applications.
Fully versed with and can check the work sequence, general content and the methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of material, equipment, systems, services or construction within a specific discipline.
