Strata-G is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager 3 with the following:

Summary/Requirements:

Position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of related management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At this level, post graduate course work may be desirable. Manage Support the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Project Controls System. Responsible for cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control, and planning/scheduling activities for a project, or for discipline/project/proposal estimating or staff planning activities that require a high degree of technical skill and experience. Directs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities and schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery plan development activities. Directs the preparation and presentation of on-project estimates and cost forecasts. Supports project organizational and administrative activities. Provides generally non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling guidance. Identifies, analyzes, and provides innovative solutions to cost engineering and planning/scheduling problems.

Responsible for cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control, and planning/scheduling activities for a project, or for discipline/project/proposal estimating or staff planning activities that require a high degree of technical skill and experience. Directs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities and schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery plan development activities. Provides generally non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling guidance. Identifies, analyzes, and provides innovative solutions to cost engineering and planning/scheduling problems. Requires an understanding of current business trends. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team. Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors. Receives assignments in the form of objective oriented terms and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organizations objectives and schedules. Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer managers, normally involving matters between functional areas performing similar tasks. Manages the activities of individual contributors or supervisors in a section or department with accountability for results in terms of costs, strategies and employees. Manages direct reports on an ongoing basis.

Position requires experience and demonstrated skill in directing cost-engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis, in the field and the home office. Experience and demonstrated skill in directing, planning, and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and home office. Experience and demonstrated skill in establishing criteria for project controls activities. Skilled in direction, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel. Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated ability to present project controls information to management/client. Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems. Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience. Knowledge of current industry and technical developments. For positions also serving as a Control Account Manager (CAM), advanced knowledge of and experience with project controls and/or project management, project budgets including cost estimating, cost control and cost analysis, project scheduling, implementation of corrective actions, developing and delivering detailed and accurate status reports and advanced knowledge of and experience with engineering functions and principles required to understand and successfully implement and monitor technical projects. Advanced knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tools and processes.
