Strata-G is seeking an experienced Senior Geologist with the following:
Summary:
Duty station is LANL. Candidate must be on-site during all drilling and field activities. Telework may be permitted during design and reporting phases of project.
Confirm that procedures being implemented comply with the environmental, safety, health, quality, and technical requirements.
Communication (verbal and written) with project manager, subcontractor, and client to effectively convey progress, issues and changes.
Monitor project progress against project schedule.
Monitor activities in the field to ensure compliance with Scope of Work.
Requirements:
BS degree in Geology or Hydrogeology with advanced degree preferred. Professional registration as a Geologist is desirable.
The qualified candidate may be required to attain and maintain a security clearance.
Experience:
More than 15 years’ experience in design and construction of groundwater extraction, injection, and multi-level monitoring wells in western geology.
Capable of designing, constructing, and developing wells that extend to depths greater than 1000 feet.
Expert in overseeing drilling subcontractors and operations for well drilling and construction.
Experience overseeing completion of packer testing in bedrock wells.
Able to log borehole lithology during well drilling activities.
Able to review, evaluate and interpret geologic, geochemical, and chemical data related to groundwater monitoring and groundwater quality.
Proficient in preparing reports, white papers, and executive summaries to convey information and data related to well installation and groundwater monitoring.
Experience at LANL desirable.
